This policy explains what information GulMagazine.co.uk collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices and rights you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
Who we are

Information we collect
Information you give us
If you contact us by email or through our contact page, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you load a page. This usually includes:
- your IP address
- your browser type, device type and operating system
- the pages you request and the date and time of each request
- the website that referred you, if any
These server logs help keep the site secure and working properly. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.
Our color tools
The Outfit Color Combination Generator runs inside your web browser. The colors, occasions and styles you select are used only to show you results on the page. They are not sent to us, saved to an account or shared with anyone.
If you use the “Copy HEX Codes” button, the color codes are placed on your device’s clipboard. We cannot see or read your clipboard.
How we use information
UK GDPR requires a lawful basis for each use of personal data. This is how we use information and why:
| Purpose | Information | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Running the website and keeping it secure | Server log data | Legitimate interests in operating a safe, working website |
| Replying to messages you send us | Name, email address, message | Legitimate interests in answering your enquiry |
| Meeting legal obligations | Any relevant records | Legal obligation |
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Cookies and storage
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. At the time of writing, GulMagazine.co.uk does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.
If we add analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Third-party services
We use a small number of outside services to run the site. They may receive technical information such as your IP address when your browser connects to them.
- Website hosting: [hosting provider name] stores our website files and server logs.
- Google Fonts: our typefaces load from Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for how those websites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: kept for [e.g. up to 30 days], then deleted automatically.
- Messages you send us: kept for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry, and then for no more than 12 months unless we need them for a legal reason.
- Color tool selections: not stored by us at all.
